Our Programs
All of Hope’s programs begin by identifying the greatest needs in each community we serve.
Instead of focusing on just one problem, our organization takes a different and more entrepreneurial approach to service. The programs we create are needs-based, not expertise-based. We immerse ourselves in each targeted area by connecting with those living, working, and helping there, reviewing recent research and data specific to the area, identifying the greatest needs to each unique community, then create programs to meet those needs.
Health & Wellness
Basic needs such as food and health must be met before focusing on higher level items. Our Health and Wellness Programs target these ‘basic’ needs as an initial step to closing the inequity gap that exist in the DC metro area and beyond.
Community development
With a focus that is both broad enough to be flexible and narrow enough to be impactful, our community development programs serve as vehicles to support and revitalize communities, especially those that are impoverished or low resource areas.
Socio-Economic
Hope recognizes the importance of placing a focus on the pillars of socioeconomic inequities- such as lower educational access and achievement- and operates multiple programs to start reducing the SES gap that exists in many DC metro areas.
