Thrill of HOPE
Our annual Thrill of Hope holiday party is our longest standing recurring event, spanning over 7 years and counting. This yearly event is a magical celebration hosted by our staff and volunteers for over 150 children with blood disorders and their families from Pediatric Specialists of Virginia, a joint venture between Children’s National Medical Center and INOVA Hospital.
This event includes a myriad of fun and engaging activities, from face painting and carnival style games to a children’s talent show and concert. The celebration concludes with a catered meal for all children and their families. Of course, no holiday celebration is complete without a visit from Santa and his reindeer friends, who pass out presents and gifts to each child in attendance at the celebration. This holiday party is a great way to put a smile on a child’s face and for one night, give them an unforgettable and joy filled experience.
